Help Earn Funding for the Webb Center

Release Date: Jul 01, 2010   Author: Shelby Fuller

WICKENBURG, AZ - From now until July 13th, anyone with a Facebook account can help the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts earn funding though the Chase Community Giving Application on the site.

Chase Bank started the program to allow users to vote for local charities that matter most to them. A total of $5 million will be donated to various non-profits and charities across the country. Placing within the top 200 organizations can earn the Webb Center $20,000 for their “Arts for Kids” education programs next year. Box Office Manager, Stephanie Fornoff said, “This is a great opportunity for small non-profit organizations, like the Webb Center, to compete on a national scale for much needed funding while promoting their mission”.

Voting for Chase Community Giving on the Facebook website, which can be found at , takes only three easy steps. Once a user “Likes” the Chase Community Giving Application, searching for “Wickenburg Foundation for the Performing Arts” will bring up the Webb Centers page. Simply click on the “Vote Now” link to support the Centers goal of continuing fun arts programs for students of all ages.

Jimmy Sweeney, who recently starred in Camp Imaginations production of “101 Dalmatians”, remarked “What a great way for the students who benefit from the Webb Centers programs to get involved in helping them raise money. Its so easy to vote and make a difference”.

The Webb Centers “Arts for Kids” programs are provided free of charge to the areas students and schools. They present special student performances with touring artists and bring qualified teaching artists into classrooms to lead curriculum-based workshops. The non-profit organization also provides after school classes through its “Art. Works.” program and produces a two-week summer arts camp for over 100 children, “Camp Imagination”. For more information on how to vote for the Webb Center through Chase Banks unique Community Giving program or on upcoming “Arts for Kids” events contact the Box Office at 928-684-6624.
