Fuller joins Webb Center Team

WICKENBURG, AZ - Shelby Fuller has joined the team at the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts as the Events Coordinator.

Fuller who graduated Magna cum Laude from the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University in May viewed this position as an opportunity to return to her hometown. “After four years of college I am very grateful to be able to find a job in Wickenburg that will challenge me and allow me to learn while still being close to my family,” Fuller said.

Working in the recruitment office at Barrett during her junior and senior years, Fuller expected to remain in the Tempe area, but was excited by the possibility of returning to Wickenburg.

Although Fuller graduated from Wickenburg High School in 2006, regular visits allowed her to remain engaged in the community. Since her parents, Mark and Janet Fuller, live in Wickenburg and her younger sisters were attending school, Fuller would frequently spend weekends back home.

Staying close to the pulse of Wickenburg made the decision to live and work here an easy one. “I am very lucky to be working at the Webb Center, not only because I love this town, but also because I have always valued the role of the Webb Center in our community,” Fuller stated.

Hoping to learn more about involving the town in the arts, Fuller is most excited to give back to the community through the Webb Centers “Arts for Kids” program.

The Center received Arizona Arts Jobs Preservation funding to fill the position that has been vacant for several seasons. The grant provided to the Arizona Commission on the Arts by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) is a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
